The LEADER method consists of the following three steps.  Detailed information is available by clicking on the links shown below.

Classroom Instruction

Taught in the classic classroom environment,  information regarding laws, safe stopping distances, etc. are best taught in this environment.  This instruction can be made available at either the LEADER facility, or at the local high school as an elective course.

Driving Simulators

Simulators are used in a classroom setting, with up to 24 students, and one teacher/facilitator at the main operations console.  The high capital expense of this component dictates that it be located only at the LEADER facility.  Using this method, students accumulate significant hours of "real" road situations without any of the dangers inherent in these situations.  Click on the simulator on the left to view a driving simulation, or on Driving Simulators above to learn more about the training curriculum.

Roadway / Track Training

The LEADER facility requires a sizeable amount of land (about 25 acres) to accommodate the driving track.  The large track allows for higher speeds, a skid area, expressway ramp simulations, along with the standard parking and turning exercises.  The reality of this experience is best trained under controlled circumstances.  This also leverages the instructor/student ratio to two instructors to thirty students.
